Issue:

As Main Topic: The most direct and popular one will be Football or Soccer, and of course that one included in a wider Sports Topic.

Then, inside Football Topic, the release is focus in the Personality of Alcides Ghighia, the Uruguayan Football Player that scores the second goal for Uruguay in the Final Match of the World Cup Brazil 1950, the goal which gives Uruguay it Forth World Cup, in the great "Maracaná" Stadium of Rio de Janeiro, in front of 200.000 astonished Brazilian fans, situation that made that this match was known worldwide as the "Marcanazo".

Then, surrounding the main topic, could be found the followings: Besides a Classic, or at least more known, Collection about Football World Cup History, or Football History, this release could be useful for one about Famous Football Players, and also for Significant Football Matches, as it honour One of the most worldwide known players in History of Football, and surely The most famous match in Football History.

Also, undoubtedly, this release, issued just some days before the intial match of the World Cup Brazil 2014, makes a clear reference to this World Cup too, also hosted by Brazil, and probably is the way that the post office found to express the desire of all Uruguayan Football Fans, that is to see Uruguay winning again the World Cup, and this imminent World Cup also in Brazil, was seen as a great opportunity for obtaining the Fith World Cup for Uruguay.

Now, regarding the desing of the stamps: It is a nicely composed Se-Tenant showing a Watercolour Paintings of "two Alcides Ghiggia", the young one, in the precise moment that he become a Legend of Football History, after scoring the Second goal of the Final Match of World Cup Brazil 1950, and the elderly one that participated in the Ceremony of the Final Draw of the World Cup Brazil 2014.

Then, the background of both stamps, with the green, yellow, and light blue curved lines, resembles in some way, the design of the "Brazuca", the Ball which was used for the World Cup Brazil 2014.

Also, the Flags Topic is added by the stamps design, as in both of them the Flag of Uruguay is included.

And, the Flag of Uruguay includes the presence of the Sun, and with this the Topics Astronomy and Space are linked by this issue, and in particular this Sun, the Sun of May refers to the May Revolution, a week-long series of events that took place from May 18 to 25, 1810, in Buenos Aires, capital of the Viceroyalty of the Río de la Plata. This Spanish colony included roughly the territories of present-day Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay. The result was the removal of Viceroy Baltasar Hidalgo de Cisneros and the establishment of a local government, the Primera Junta (First Junta), on May 25. It is also claimed that the Sun of May is a representation of the Inca Sun god Inti, and also another view is that is influenced by the emblem of the French Revolution, and that emblem was taken from the Freemasonic representations of the All-seeing eye.

Finally, in a more symbolic way: This release, leaving aside, the anecdote, the personality, and the previous presented facts, gives me the flavour of Time in first place, and also spot the Magnificent Importance that Minimum Events has in the History of one Human Being.

Stamp 1:

The Stamp 1: Introduce a reference to the Old Balls, that were used many years ago for Football Matches, and were very different to the ones used nowadays, showing the one which was used in the Final Match of World Cup Brazil 1950.

The other thing that has in particular this stamp, is it strong reference to the World Cup Brazil 1950, it Final Match, called "Maracanazo", and the 2 - 1 Goal, that was the Last Goal of this World Cup, and the one that made Uruguay Win the World Cup Brazil 1950, when showing a Watercolour Painting of a Famous Picture taken just a few second after the goal was scored.

In the scene a young Alcides Ghiggia is shown Celebrating his Goal, after the Ball hit the Bar and cross over the Goal Line.

Stamp 2:

The Stamp 2: Showing the Watercolour Painting version of a recent picture of Alcides Ghiggia, now as the Legend, and not as the Football Player.

Also, it is this stamp, the one that could relate this release to Elderly o Ancient Topic.

Block:

The block: Reinforce the relation with the Ball Topic in general, and in particular with the "Brazuca" one, the Ball used for the World Cup Brazil 2014, as the design of lines Yellow, Green and Light Blue, that was in the background of the stamps is continued in the Block, making more evident the relation with the "Brazuca" ball.

However, the most clear reference to the Ball, is not the printed design of the Block, it is the Shape of it, as it is an Odd Shaped Block, more precisely a Circular Shaped Block.

FDC:

The desing of the First Day Cancelation: Reinforces the conection of the release with the "Maracaná" Stadium, as it shows an aerial view of it.

The cancelation shows the New Version of the "Maracaná" Stadium, the one after the renovation made for the World Cup Brazil 2014, this could be infered because the roof of the new version of the Stadium is more abarcative and have a different desing in comparation with the older one, and this new design is the one shown in the cancellation.

Another interesting detail that could be spot, is the large Access Ramps, that mades possible the access to the Stadium for Disabled People or Handicapped People.

If you consider that there are another topics in this stamp, that were not spot in this review, you are encouraged to telling me about them, so please do not hesitate to post a comment. I would appreciate your help very much.
