Issue:

As Main Topic: The most direct and popular one will be Theatre, Television or Actresses, and of course that one included in a wider Arts Topic.

Then, inside Theatre Topic, the release is obviously focus on the Personality of Cristina Morán, an Uruguayan Actress that also worked as Presenter and Announcer in many Television and Radio Shows, so Uruguayan Actresses, Uruguayan Presenters and Uruguayan Announcers are more precise Topics for this release, and even Remarkable Uruguayan Women could be another Topic for this Issue too.

Also, a wider Uruguayan Personalities could be selected as Main Topic of this issue, not only as an immediate generalization of the previously named ones, also because this release is explicitly issued with this objective, as it is a Traditional Annual Series, that commemorate Remarkable Personalities of Uruguay.

Then, surrounding the main topic, could be found the followings: As Cristina Morán also worked in Radio Dramas, Audio Dramas or Radio Theater, this specific part of both worlds the Theater one, and the Radio one, could be an interesting Topic not much seen in Philatelic Items.

Then, several Radio and Television Broadcasters could be associated with Cristina Morán, as she worked for them through her career.

First "Radio Carve" in which she played serveral Radio Dramas, and then "Saeta TV Canal 10" in which she worked for three decades, being with them the First woman to appear in the Uruguayan Television, and gained recognition as the Presenter of "Domingos Continuados", and also worked as an Actress in two TV Comedies in this Channel. She also participated in the traditional TV Show of "Canal 12", "El Show del Mediodía". Finally, she also was the Presenter of two TV Shows in "Canal 5".

Also, some Theater Plays, and Plays Writters could be related with the Personality of Cristina Morán, as he worked as an Actress in the plays "La Pecera", in english "The Fishbowl" of Eduardo Sarlos, an Hungarian writter that lives almost all his life in Uruguay, and also the plays "Mujeres de arena", and "Hijas de la Mala vida", in english "Women of Sand" and "Daughters of the bad life", both from the Mexican Writter and Human Rights Activist Humberto Robles.

Now, regarding the desing of the stamps: As it includes a Picture of Cristina Morán, besides the Photography Topic, also some other minor Topics could be identified, that are: Rings, Earrings and also Hands.

Also Flags could be a topic added, as on the top of the stamp, where it is placed the legend "Personalidades Destacadas de Uruguay", that means "Remarkable Personalities from Uruguay", a Ribbon with the pattern of the Flag of Uruguay slides behind the legend.

Finally, in a more symbolic way: This release, puts Arts, and in particular Theater or Performing, in a relevant place, as in this year is a Personality of this scope, one of the selected for the Annual Series of Remarkable People from Uruguay. Also, the selection of Cristina Morán in particular, broaden the spectrum of Performing, as she traveled, through her career, in all the scopes in which Performing is needed, as it is Radio, Television, and Theater.

Block:

The block: Reinforce the relation with Television Topic, because the icon selected to show the inks used in the Release is an Old Model of Video Camera, with two big compartments for Film Ribbon. The Old model of the Camera Selected, could relate this release with a Vintage Collection.

Also Flags could be a topic reinforced by the Block as, in the same way that it is done in the stamp, on the top of it, where it is placed the legend "Personalidades Destacadas del Uruguay", a Ribbon with the pattern of the Flag of Uruguay slides behind the legend.

FDC:

The desing of the First Day Cancelation: Also reinforces Television Topic, as it shows Tripod for a Video Camera, with the addition that this particular item, the Tripod, is rarely seen on Philatelic Items.

If you consider that there are another topics in this stamp, that were not spot in this review, you are encouraged to telling me about them, so please do not hesitate to post a comment. I would appreciate your help very much.

Issue:

As Main Topic: The Personality of José Gervasio Artigas is clearly the main topic of this Special Cancelation, as it was and will be of the whole stamps of the Permanent Serie that commemorate the 250th Anniversary of his Birth. This Special Cancelation could be a seen as a an additional Release of this Permanent Serie.

Then, the personality of José Artigas could be included in wider Topic as Uruguayan Personalities, or Uruguayan Militars, and of course in one dedicated to National Heroes.

Then, surrounding the main topic, could be found the followings: The first that cames to our mind is History, in particular the History of Southamerica, focus on the Emancipation of Southamerica, or the Liberty of Southamerica, or the Spanish American wars of independence, as José Gervasio Artigas was one of the most notorious figures of that Emancipation. Also the Ideologies associated with him, as Federalism and Liberalism, even a last one centred on his figure called Artiguism, are clearly represented in this stamp. Finally, by his great labour in the Uruguayan Army, Militaria is another topic directly associated with this issue.

Now, regarding the desing of the Special Cancelation: It mainly reinforces the Topics related to his Ideologies, in particular Federalism, with the inclusión of the text: "Unión de los pueblos libres", that in english means "Union of the Peoples in Freedom".

Also, it connect the release with Sauce City, a small city located on Km. 36 of Route 6 and its intersection with Routes 67, 86 and 107, now part of the wider metropolitan area of Montevideo, as it name is included in the Cancellation, probably alleging that in Sauce City was born José Artigas, however, most of the historians consider that surely he born in the City of Montevideo, in the other house of his family that was placed in the intersection of the streets that now are called "Cerrito" and "Colón".

Finally, the design, add in the cancellation the Uruguayan Bicentenary Logo, the one created in 2011 to be the image of the Uruguayan Bicentenary, used in all the events done to it Celebration. The Logotype consist in a simple Ribbon that resembles the Flag of Uruguay, and the Flag of Artigas, making this release interesting for Biccentenaries and Flags Topics. This Logo was the Main Topic of the first Release of 2011, and also was included in many later releases of this year that commemorated different relevant events in the building of Uruguay, as an Independent Country.

Finally, in a more symbolic way: The inclusion of the text: "Unión de los pueblos libres", from my point of view, seeks to expand the relevance of José Artigas Personality, to put in him as a South-American Leader, and not only as the Uruguayan National Hero.

Stamps selection:

The stamps selected were: Naturally, Two of the ones from the Permanent Serie of 2014 with the exact topic. The ones selected from that Permanent Serie were The Light blue one of postage value UYP 15 + 2, and The Green one with postage value $10.

Then, to complete the postage value for the Non Sent Version of the Cover, and the registered postage value for the Sent of First Day Version one, another stamps of the same Permanent Serie were selected.

The reason for selecting these stamps was: That they match exactly with the Cancelation Topic, as both, the stamps from the Permanent Serie, and the Cancelation being described here, were released commemorating the same.

Although there were other options of stamps to be selected, as many stamps shows the figure of José Artigas in his design, I considered that the Full Topic Match characteristic of the selected ones, weighted more than Diversity that selecting another release could provide.

Then, the Selection of these particular stamps from all of the Permanent Serie was due to they are the ones with lower value, and also the inclusion of the Semi-Postal stamp in this choice I found it appropiate.

The selection of this stamps, add the following topics: As already mentioned, both, the stamps from the Permanent Serie, and the Cancelation being described here, were released commemorating the same, so the stamps mainly reinforces the Topics that already exist in the Cancelation.

However, the inclusion of the Semi-postal stamp or Charity Stamp of the Permanent Serie, add not only this Type of Stamps Topics, that, as the "Escuela Horizonte", a Special School, dedicated to the Care of children and youths with Cerebral Paralysis in their most compromised levels, is the Institution that will receive the 2 UYP added value of this Stamp, also the Health and Handicapped, and even Education are new Topics added by the selection of this stamp.

If you consider that there are another topics in this stamp, that were not spot in this review, you are encouraged to telling me about them, so please do not hesitate to post a comment. I would appreciate your help very much.

Issue:

As Main Topic: The most direct and popular one will be Football or Soccer, and of course that one included in a wider Sports Topic.

Then, inside Football Topic, the release is focus in the Personality of Alcides Ghighia, the Uruguayan Football Player that scores the second goal for Uruguay in the Final Match of the World Cup Brazil 1950, the goal which gives Uruguay it Forth World Cup, in the great "Maracaná" Stadium of Rio de Janeiro, in front of 200.000 astonished Brazilian fans, situation that made that this match was known worldwide as the "Marcanazo".

Then, surrounding the main topic, could be found the followings: Besides a Classic, or at least more known, Collection about Football World Cup History, or Football History, this release could be useful for one about Famous Football Players, and also for Significant Football Matches, as it honour One of the most worldwide known players in History of Football, and surely The most famous match in Football History.

Also, undoubtedly, this release, issued just some days before the intial match of the World Cup Brazil 2014, makes a clear reference to this World Cup too, also hosted by Brazil, and probably is the way that the post office found to express the desire of all Uruguayan Football Fans, that is to see Uruguay winning again the World Cup, and this imminent World Cup also in Brazil, was seen as a great opportunity for obtaining the Fith World Cup for Uruguay.

Now, regarding the desing of the stamps: It is a nicely composed Se-Tenant showing a Watercolour Paintings of "two Alcides Ghiggia", the young one, in the precise moment that he become a Legend of Football History, after scoring the Second goal of the Final Match of World Cup Brazil 1950, and the elderly one that participated in the Ceremony of the Final Draw of the World Cup Brazil 2014.

Then, the background of both stamps, with the green, yellow, and light blue curved lines, resembles in some way, the design of the "Brazuca", the Ball which was used for the World Cup Brazil 2014.

Also, the Flags Topic is added by the stamps design, as in both of them the Flag of Uruguay is included.

And, the Flag of Uruguay includes the presence of the Sun, and with this the Topics Astronomy and Space are linked by this issue, and in particular this Sun, the Sun of May refers to the May Revolution, a week-long series of events that took place from May 18 to 25, 1810, in Buenos Aires, capital of the Viceroyalty of the Río de la Plata. This Spanish colony included roughly the territories of present-day Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay. The result was the removal of Viceroy Baltasar Hidalgo de Cisneros and the establishment of a local government, the Primera Junta (First Junta), on May 25. It is also claimed that the Sun of May is a representation of the Inca Sun god Inti, and also another view is that is influenced by the emblem of the French Revolution, and that emblem was taken from the Freemasonic representations of the All-seeing eye.

Finally, in a more symbolic way: This release, leaving aside, the anecdote, the personality, and the previous presented facts, gives me the flavour of Time in first place, and also spot the Magnificent Importance that Minimum Events has in the History of one Human Being.

The Stamp 1: Introduce a reference to the Old Balls, that were used many years ago for Football Matches, and were very different to the ones used nowadays, showing the one which was used in the Final Match of World Cup Brazil 1950.

The other thing that has in particular this stamp, is it strong reference to the World Cup Brazil 1950, it Final Match, called "Maracanazo", and the 2 - 1 Goal, that was the Last Goal of this World Cup, and the one that made Uruguay Win the World Cup Brazil 1950, when showing a Watercolour Painting of a Famous Picture taken just a few second after the goal was scored.

In the scene a young Alcides Ghiggia is shown Celebrating his Goal, after the Ball hit the Bar and cross over the Goal Line.

Stamp 2:

The Stamp 2: Showing the Watercolour Painting version of a recent picture of Alcides Ghiggia, now as the Legend, and not as the Football Player.

Also, it is this stamp, the one that could relate this release to Elderly o Ancient Topic.

Block:

The block: Reinforce the relation with the Ball Topic in general, and in particular with the "Brazuca" one, the Ball used for the World Cup Brazil 2014, as the design of lines Yellow, Green and Light Blue, that was in the background of the stamps is continued in the Block, making more evident the relation with the "Brazuca" ball.

However, the most clear reference to the Ball, is not the printed design of the Block, it is the Shape of it, as it is an Odd Shaped Block, more precisely a Circular Shaped Block.

FDC:

The desing of the First Day Cancelation: Reinforces the conection of the release with the "Maracaná" Stadium, as it shows an aerial view of it.

The cancelation shows the New Version of the "Maracaná" Stadium, the one after the renovation made for the World Cup Brazil 2014, this could be infered because the roof of the new version of the Stadium is more abarcative and have a different desing in comparation with the older one, and this new design is the one shown in the cancellation.

Another interesting detail that could be spot, is the large Access Ramps, that mades possible the access to the Stadium for Disabled People or Handicapped People.

If you consider that there are another topics in this stamp, that were not spot in this review, you are encouraged to telling me about them, so please do not hesitate to post a comment. I would appreciate your help very much.
