Brief Description:

A brief description of the Most Popular Topics of this Release are: Clearly Sports as the Main Topic, and also perhaps more precise Topics as Sports Clubs or Centenarian Sports Clubs, then, because it is the Sport in which this Club had made it biggest achievments, Basketball Topic arise, and in particular Basketball Teams or Centenarian Basketballs Clubs could be other Topics of this Issue too.

Then, looking more at the desing of the Issue, another Sport could be found, as it is Athletics, in particular Hammer Throw, one of the four throwing events in regular Track and Field Competitions, along with the Discus Throw, Shot Put and Javelin, as a picture of Darwin Piñeyrua, and his name, appears in the right corner of the Stamp. This Athlete, that was born professionally in the Club this release in honouring, has the actual National record of Uruguay in Hammer Throw, obtaining it in 1974, and still not beated up. In his career, he participated and was the Flag Bearer in the Olympic Games of Munich 1972, and won medals in the Panamerican games of Cali, winning the Bronze Medal there, and being also the best of South America, with his marks only under United States Athletes.  He also won two Gold Medals and one Bronze Medal in several South American Championship of Athletics.

The connection to Basketball is reinforced in the Release by the design of the FDC of this Issue, as it shows a Basketball Hoop and Backboard, covering most of the cancellation.

If you consider that there are another topics in this stamp, that were not spot in this review, you are encouraged to telling me about them, so please do not hesitate to post a comment. I would appreciate your help very much.
